• Restructuring becomes the norm in companies–people lose their jobs.
• Job security is dead–the business environment changes at a fast rate.
• Loyalty towards your company is dead—If the company does not need you your services any longer you can be retrenched or even fired.
• Unemployment is becoming a bigger worldwide problem–the opportunities to get a new job is becoming less and less.
You must understand that being employed or have a job is not because you are a nice person, but because you are generating a bigger income for the company than your total costs to the company. It is not wrong, from the perspective of the company, but you must realize you position and what you could be giving to yourself rather to the company.
